How check-ins reminders work

You can configure periodic check-ins reminders to nudge outcome owners when progress updates are due.

Each email is tailored to a specific user, and will highlight the goals that need to have a new progress update.

You should only receive this email if you have active outcomes in your workspace (they will be visible in your Inbox).

Configuring reminders

Picking the check-ins frequency on plan creation

When you create a new plan, you will have the option to select any of the following check-ins frequencies:

  • Every week
  • Every fortnight
  • Every month
  • Every 3 months

Our recommendation is to have weekly reminders for quarterly plans, and monthly reminders for yearly plans. But, you can also use the advanced settings to customise your reminders.

Advanced reminders configuration

You will find a workflow section at the bottom of your plan settings. From there you will be able to update the reminders setting by picking the following settings:

  • Reminder interval: every 1 week, every 2 weeks, every 6 weeks, etc...
  • Reminder period: every 3 weeks or every 3 months.
  • Reminder hour: send reminders at 8:00 or at 14:00 (we use 24h format for clarity).
  • Reminder starting date: the day from when reminders should start.

Please note that weekly reminders will always happened on the same day of the week (ex: always on Monday or Friday), while monthly reminders will always happen on the same day of the month (ex: always on the 1st or the 3rd).

Admins and owners can change the default day and time for weekly and monthly check-ins reminders from the Workflows admin section.
